Job purpose:
Responsible for the assessment, review (surveying) and processing of branch motor claims for accident vehicles against motor insurance policies in the company’s business portfolio in accordance with strict cost controls and agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:

Visit all the agency and non-agency body shops as per schedule to carry out motor surveys and repair cost negotiations

Thoroughly verify documentation from workshops to ensure content is factual, accurate and within cost estimates

Lead negotiations with service providers to agree on justified indemnity amounts for repairable and total loss cases, based on policy terms and conditions and in adherence to local market regulations

Ensure the claims management systems are real time input with all approval information and documents/photos uploaded

Handle recovery claim notifications between third-party insurance companies by assessing and finalizing the repair or total loss amounts for third-party vehicles, and communicating the final settled amount

Assist the regional recovery team in facilitating the final recovery collection process with third party insurers

Coordinate with the Regional claims team for any back-office support if required and provide updates back to them also

Detect any potentially fraudulent activities which can result in financial loss to the company

Periodically review repair cost evolution and adopt effective cost control measures

Constantly review service levels of workshops to ensure best quality, honesty, and maximum cost effectiveness of repairs

Assist motor surveying manager in the production of motor claims data and identify the trends

Investigate and prepare detailed report in case of any disputed claims or complaints escalated to senior management and provide resolution

Provide support to the sales and underwriting team on any new products, policies, and fleet negotiations

Ensure full compliance with GIG’s claims processes, irrespective of differing local market practices.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

Broad knowledge of Motor Vehicle Engineering, Accidental Damages Assessment and Repair Methods

Excellent knowledge of GIG Motor Products, and its terms and conditions

Basic market knowledge of agency and non-agency body shop network and other providers
Essential Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 Years’ experience in the role of motor surveyor/ automobile shop estimator/supervisor/manager
-
Qualified Degree / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical engineering

Attention to technical details, operational excellence, and good quality

Valid Driver’s License

High level of integrity, accountability and honesty

Fluency in English, Arabic will be added advantage.
