Job Purpose
To ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and availability of injection moulds to support uninterrupted production, maintain mould life, and ensure product quality.
Key Responsibilities Mould Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of plastic injection moulds
- Dismantle, clean, inspect, assemble, and test moulds as per standard procedures
- Identify wear, damage, or defects in mould components and take corrective action
- Replace or repair mould components such as cores, cavities, ejector pins, sleeves, sliders, lifters, and cooling lines
Preventive Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled mould preventive maintenance (PM) as per PM plan
- Maintain mould maintenance checklists and records
- Ensure proper lubrication, rust prevention, and storage of moulds
Troubleshooting & Support
- Support production during mould-related issues (flash, short shot, burrs, sticking, part damage, water leakage, etc.)
- Coordinate with production and process teams to resolve mould issues quickly
- Assist in mould trials, new mould validation, and engineering changes
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain mould history cards, maintenance logs, and breakdown records
- Follow safety rules, 5S, TPM, and company SOPs
- Support internal and external audits (ISO, IATF, customer audits, etc.)
Safety
- Follow all safety guidelines while handling moulds and tools
- Tool management in the tool room
- Use PPE and safe lifting practices during mould handling
Skills & Competencies Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould construction and working
- Hands-on experience in mould assembly and disassembly
- Knowledge of different mould systems: hot runner, cold runner, 2-plate, 3-plate
- Ability to read mould drawings and understand tolerances
- Familiarity with mould materials, surface finishes, and polishing basics

Qualification & Experience
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Fitter, Machinist, or equivalent
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in injection mould maintenance (preferred)
- Experience in automotive / medical / packaging plastics is an advantage

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
