About this opportunity:

The MPBN Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Multi-Protocol Backbone Network (MPBN) infrastructure. This role requires advanced knowledge of IP/MPLS networks, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead complex network transformation projects.

You Will

Network Design & Implementation

• Plan, design, and deploy MPBN solutions including IP/MPLS backbone, routing, and switching.
• Define network architecture to meet business and customer requirements.

Operations & Support

• Provide Level 3 (L3) support for MPBN-related incidents and problem resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Performance Optimization

• Monitor network health and recommend capacity upgrades and configuration changes.
• Ensure network availability, scalability, and security.

Project Management

• Lead MPBN rollout and migration projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.

Documentation & Training

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, QoS, and Traffic Engineering.
• Experience with routers/switches from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia.
• Hands-on experience in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred) :CCNP/CCIE (Cisco) / JNCIP/JNCIE (Juniper) or equivalent.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in IP/MPLS/MPBN network design, deployment, and support.
• Proven track record in handling complex network transformations and large-scale telecom projects.
• Must have experience on Nokia SR2S,WBX,IXR, Nokia VSD and FSS and IP-SDN nodes
