Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of database management principles, performance optimization, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure efficient data storage, availability, security, and reliability across multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform database performance tuning, index optimization, and query optimization.
• Analyze stored procedures, queries, source code, and database structure to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Manage database backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning.
• Perform data migration, data replication, and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Monitor database performance proactively and troubleshoot server-level issues.
• Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with development and application teams for deployment of database-related changes.
• Generate regular database health reports, including utilization, performance, and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience as an MS SQL Server DBA.
• Strong experience in database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Experience with SQL Server backup and recovery strategies, failover clustering, and replication.
• Solid understanding of data management, data migration, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, DPA, Performance Monitor).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to cloud-based SQL/ Azure SQL Database.
• Experience working with Agile development environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

• Ulsoor, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
