MSC Lecturer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Shall report to the Principal/Senior Manager-Wards/Directors and in respect of administrative issues shall report to Director through Principal/Senior Manager-Wards.

• Shall make plan of the teaching programme including an orientation programme in consultation with the Principal/Senior Manager-Wards.

• Shall make plan for students’ practical experience, ward assignments and vacations in consultation with the Senior Manager-Wards.

• Shall make plan of ward teaching programmes with the cooperation and collaboration of Nursing Superintendent.

• Shall arrange for classes and demonstrations, display of educational material on notice board.

• Shall do teaching of all nursing subjects with assistance from the members of the staff.

• Shall guide students in methods of study and use of reference books and library. Individual attention to students when necessary, including assignments.

• Shall be responsible for conducting periodical and term end tests.

• Shall organize seminars, workshops, panel discussions, debates etc.

• Shall ensure the students who attend examinations fulfill all requirements.

• Shall do regular visit to the hospital wards and departments and other practice fields.

• Shall be responsible for writing of annual reports pertaining to the College of Nursing.

• Shall maintain the register of attendance at classes, demonstrations, visits etc.

• Shall maintain record of practical experience.

• Shall maintain the marks of term end tests and examinations.

• Shall maintain leave account of students.

• Shall maintain the record of classes given by nursing, medical and other teachers.

• Shall make arrangements for initial and periodical health examinations and maintenance of health records.

• Shall do periodical visits to students’ rooms to make sure that they practice personal hygiene.

• Shall organize the recreation and social programmes.

• Shall participate in the selection of students.

• Shall arrange to supply the timetable to Nursing Superintendent.

• Shall maintain the library, requisition of new books and journals.

• Shall maintain the inventory of classroom supplies.

• Shall maintain the inventory of classroom equipment.

• Shall make arrangements for functions for prize distribution, capping ceremony etc.

• Shall be responsible for supervising and guiding the students in the clinical field and helping them to learn nursing skills.

• Shall plan and organize the clinical work for students.

• Shall make student assignments for patient care.

• Shall plan for clinical teaching.

• Shall organize ward demonstrations

• Shall give incidental coaching, when necessary.

• Shall be in touch with the teaching-learning activities of the Nursing College.

• Shall evaluate the students’ practical performance.

• Shall report any matter concerning the students to the Principal/Senior Manager-Wards.

• Any other work given by Principal/Senior Manager-Wards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹27,000.08 per month
