The Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – IT is responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations within cinema environments while undergoing structured on-the-job training. The role provides hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, cinema-specific systems, networking, and end-user support. The incumbent will work closely with senior IT staff to ensure reliable, secure, and uninterrupted technical operations that support cinema business functions.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Support
- Assist in providing technical support for cinema servers, systems, and IT infrastructure under supervision.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to POS systems, ticketing systems, kiosks, and online booking platforms.
- Provide basic level IT support to users and escalate complex issues as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 0–6 months of relevant IT experience (fresh candidates are encouraged to apply) .
- Knowledge of digital projection systems and media servers is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, basic server management, and backup systems.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL Server (queries, reporting support, data extraction).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
