Job Description:

The multimedia designer is responsible for translating Florida Rising’s campaigns into creative digital and print mediums that move people to action. This position focuses on developing campaign-driven creatives (short-form video, digital ads, social posts to email visuals and rapid-response messaging to field literature) that supports organizing, advocacy, and electoral goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design high-performing digital content for campaigns, including social media graphics, carousels, paid media ads, email visuals, and landing page layouts
• Design compelling print materials (flyers, door hangers, event collateral) that align with digital campaign creative and field strategy
• Translate campaign messaging and community voices into clear, engaging, and action-oriented content
• Support A/B testing and iteration of digital creatives to improve engagement and conversion
• Develop scalable design systems and templates for electoral campaigns, issue-based campaigns, and rapid response moments
• Ensure visual and organizational branding consistency across campaigns, regions, and platforms
• Produce timely creative tied to political moments, news cycles, and campaign priorities
• Ensure consistency between digital and field-facing materials to strengthen message recognition and impact
• Work with paid media partners to adapt and optimize ad creatives
• Support execution of digital campaign plans, including content calendars and campaign launches

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in digital design, campaign communications, or advocacy work
• Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign-based design (digital ads, social campaigns, or advocacy work preferred)
• Experience designing for digital platforms (social, email, web, paid media)
• Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or similar)
• Basic understanding of video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and politically responsive environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Fluency in English is required, and capacity in Spanish or Haitian Creole is beneficial.
• Some local and statewide travel expected; occasional out-of-state travel may be required
• Reliable means of transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in political campaigns, grassroots organizing, or advocacy communications
• Experience designing for conversion (petitions, sign-ups, event recruitment)
• Experience with tools like EveryAction, ActionNetwork, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with paid media creative development and testing
