Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough searches of municipal records to identify liens, assessments, and encumbrances affecting properties.
• Review and interpret legal documents, contracts, and property records with precision.
• Compile detailed reports on findings, ensuring clarity and accuracy for clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and title companies to provide necessary lien information promptly.
• Maintain organized records of all searches performed, adhering to compliance standards such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and Fair Housing regulations.
• Verify property details using various sources including escrow documents, mortgage servicing records, and banking data.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations affecting municipal liens and property law to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Prior experience in loan processing, mortgage servicing, or credit analysis is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, underwriting processes, and loan origination procedures.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, TILA requirements, and contractual documentation.
• Strong understanding of banking procedures related to escrow accounts and mortgage transactions.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret legal documents accurately.
• Proficiency in basic math skills, including calculations related to loan amounts and escrow figures.
• Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously under tight deadlines.
