Red Velvet Studios is a professional home music studio based in Mid-City Los Angeles. We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and creative Music Production & Content Intern to join our team. This internship requires in-person participation and provides real-world experience in music production, content creation, studio workflow, and live music event support.

Los Angeles locals only.

As part of our interview process, qualified applicants may be invited to one of our live music events for an initial vibe-check meet-up to ensure alignment, energy, and compatibility with our team and creative environment.

Core ResponsibilitiesContent Creation (In-Studio & Live Events)

• Capture videos and photos during studio sessions and creative work
• Film and photograph live music events hosted or supported by Red Velvet Studios
• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Appear on camera when necessary
• Agree to allow your image/voice to be used in content
• Assist with uploads, planning, and basic engagement outreach
• Travel for occasional off-site shoots (vehicle required)

Music Production Assistance (In-Studio Only)

• Assist with vocal sessions and DAW setup (Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
• Help with recording, tracking, and session operations
• Edit, comp, tune, and mix vocals (Melodyne, Auto-Tune, timing correction)
• Support artists during studio sessions
• Prepare session files and assist with setup/breakdown
• Capture consistent content during sessions
• Participate in creative planning for studio projects

Marketing & Creative Support

• Film podcasts, interviews, workshops, and educational recordings
• Edit short-form content
• Assist with social media engagement and outreach
• Create basic graphics and promotional materials

Studio & Business Operations

• Learn indie studio workflow, artist development, and brand strategy
• Contribute to music feedback reviews through Groover
• Assist with podcast editing and production tasks
• Help with errands, supply pickups, and occasional rideshare needs

Intern Expectations

In-Person Required:
All core sessions, creative work, and event participation must be done on-site in Mid-City Los Angeles.

Camera Ready:
Arrive groomed, presentable, and prepared to be on or off camera.

Communication:
Respond promptly to texts, WhatsApp messages, and email.

Schedule & Time Commitment

• Location: Mid-City Los Angeles studio
• Time: 2–3 sessions per week (Mon–Fri, typically 1–10 PM)
• Session Length: 4–6 hours (about 6–10 hours weekly)
• Minimum Commitment: 1–2 sessions weekly
• Occasional off-site shoots and event support
• Potential invitation to attend a live music event as the first meet-up

• Must live in Los Angeles
• Must be available for in-person sessions
• Must own a MacBook
• Must own an iPhone 14 Pro Max or newer/ DSLR/Mirrorless Camera

Internship Purpose

This is a volunteer learning experience designed to help you:

• Build a strong portfolio
• Develop real production and content skills
• Gain hands-on experience in a professional studio
• Contribute to live events and creative projects
• Make valuable industry connections

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $500.00 per year
