Job Summary:
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office State Government Division/Transportation Section is seeking an
Assistant Attorney General for its Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) Unit.
Remote Options: This position may be eligible for Remote Work two days a week.

Job Duties:
While the attorney will provide legal services to the Arizona Department of Transportation as assigned,
on a wide variety of issues, the attorney will be primarily responsible for representing ADOT's Motor
Vehicle Division (MVD) in judicial proceedings related to appeal of administrative decisions or other
litigation in the Superior Court and Appellate Courts, and advising MVD personnel on a wide variety of
legal issues. These may include, but are not limited to, issues related to administrative proceedings, driver licenses, vehicle title and registration permit’s, intergovernmental agreements and interagency service agreements, contracts of varying types with private entities, open meeting law and public records, data access issues, subpoenas, general constituent inquiries, interpretation of other statutory and regulatory provisions related to MVD activities and review of proposed legislation of administrative rules. The attorney may also be asked to provide legal advice and representation on a variety of topics to ADOT's Aeronautics Division, and various statutorily created boards or commissions, and be available to advise and consult with other attorneys in the Section.
