We are seeking a motivated and experienced MYP Individuals and Societies (I&S) Teacher to join our educational community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in students while fostering an understanding of historical, geographical, cultural, political, and economic concepts within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework.
- Develop and deliver engaging MYP Individuals and Societies lessons aligned with IB standards and school policies.
- Design inquiry-based units that promote conceptual understanding and connections to global contexts.
- Foster critical thinking, collaboration, and research skills through active and student-centered learning.
- Integrate the Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills in all aspects of teaching and assessment.
- Use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies, including project-based learning, investigations, and discussions.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments that reflect MYP criteria.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units and support whole-school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the school community.
- Uphold all school safeguarding and child protection policies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience:
- Proven experience teaching Individuals and Societies or related subjects at the middle school level.
- Experience with the IB MYP framework is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an international school setting is a plus.
