Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in all procedures to ensure client safety and comfort
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable nail treatments, and provide expert advice on nail care products
• Stay updated on the latest trends in nail design, color theory, and techniques to offer innovative services
• Upsell retail products related to nail care and beauty treatments to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of workstations, tools, and salon environment in compliance with health regulations
• Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and personalized service to encourage repeat visits

Skills

• Deep knowledge of color theory for creating stunning nail designs that complement client styles
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for every guest
• Strong understanding of sanitation practices and safety protocols within a salon setting
• Formal training in cosmetology or esthetician licensing with specialization in nail care
• Proficiency in advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, hair threading, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus
• Ability to perform retail math for upselling products effectively while maintaining professional integrity
• Effective communication skills for explaining treatments clearly and building rapport with clients
