Part-Time Nanny Needed | Penn Valley, CA

A warm and loving family in Penn Valley, CA (95946) is seeking a mature and experienced Career Nanny to provide long-term and part time care for their 1.5 year old, beginning as soon as possible.

Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Sunday 7:30am - 2:00pm - with possibility of added 4th day every other week

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide attentive childcare with a focus on smooth daily arrivals, transitions, and parent reunions, including supporting children through experiences like separation anxiety with patience and grace.
• Facilitate child-led floor play and support independent exploration, thoughtfully balancing observation with active engagement
• Ensure daily outdoor time and movement to promote physical development and overall well-being
• Prepare and serve nutritious snacks and maintain consistent nap routines
• Model and reinforce “grace and courtesy” practices within the home environment
• Manage child-related household tasks, including one load of laundry per shift (folded and put away)
• Maintain cleanliness of shared spaces by vacuuming once per shift and managing dishes used during working hours
• Valid drivers license required for any driving responsibilities, including transporting children for car naps.

Someone emotionally attuned, patient, and confident supporting a young child through the natural rhythms of the day, with a strong understanding of attachment, respectful communication, and creating a predictable, peaceful environment. Note: The family has two cats in the home.

Must be vaccinated (TDAP)

Compensation: $30-35/hr payroll (sick time, healthcare & dental)
