Summer Nanny / Caregiver Needed!

Overview:

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic nanny/caregiver to help care for our sweet 9-year-old daughter (turning 10 this summer). She has special needs, so we are looking for someone patient, attentive, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with children who may need extra support and guidance.

This position will primarily be Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM during the summer, with the potential for additional hours on weekends or evenings for extracurricular activities and occasional extra help. There is also the opportunity for this position to continue beyond summer for after-school care, evenings, weekends, or ongoing support if it is a great fit for everyone.

Care will take place in our home, where our daughter is most comfortable and where everything is already set up for her routine and needs. My husband and I both work from home much of the time, but there may also be times we need to leave for work, errands, appointments, or meetings.

We are hoping to find someone who can create a fun, engaging, safe, and positive environment while helping with daily care, meals, activities, and light household tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, compassionate, and patient care for one child with special needs
• Supervise and engage in fun activities, crafts, outdoor play, games, and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Assist with daily routines and ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks as needed
• Encourage positive interaction, engagement, and emotional support
• Assist with transportation or participation in extracurricular activities when needed
• Perform light household cleanup related to childcare, including tidying play areas, dishes, and light kitchen cleanup
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming environment throughout the day
• Communicate openly with parents regarding daily activities, moods, needs, and progress

Ideal Candidate:

• Has prior nanny, caregiving, childcare experience
• CPR certified (First Aid certification is a plus)
• Patient, dependable, kind, and energetic
• Enjoys creating fun and meaningful activities for children
• Comfortable preparing simple meals and snacks
• Able to maintain a calm and positive attitude
• Reliable transportation is preferred. If transportation is needed for activities or outings with our daughter, a vehicle and child car seat will be provided.
• Flexible availability for occasional evenings or weekends is a plus, we will give appropriate notice ahead of time.

We are looking for someone who truly enjoys building connections with children and becoming a positive part of our daughter’s summer. We want her to have a fun, memorable, active, and supported summer with someone she feels comfortable and safe with.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
