Nanny / Sitter

Job Overview

I am seeking a responsible, reliable, and caring Nanny to support our family with childcare and transportation needs. This role involves caring for our 2-year-old at home, providing age-appropriate educational activities, and driving our 11-year-old to and from school each weekday. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, punctual, BLS (Basic Life Support) certified, and willing to undergo a criminal background check. Occasional travel support with a family guardian (e.g., grandma) may be required when parents are out of town.

Duties

• Provide attentive childcare for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs and preferences
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
• Maintain a safe environment by supervising playtime and implementing safety protocols
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning up after children, laundry, and organizing toys or supplies
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and handle minor injuries with care and professionalism
• Support children with daily routines including nap times, diaper changes, potty training, and educational activities

Experience

• Prior experience working as a nanny, babysitter, or in a daycare setting is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to care for infants through preschool-aged children with patience and enthusiasm
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific needs
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required before start date
• Familiarity with meal preparation for young children and managing dietary restrictions
• Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day
