National Road Logistics Tender and Pricing Specialist

We are seeking a National Road Logistics Tender and Pricing Specialist for our National Office in Basaksehir, Istanbul. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities, demonstrating expertise in managing tender processes and pricing strategies within the road logistics sector.

As a National Road Logistics Tender & Pricing Specialist, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating tendering and pricing processes for international road logistics services. This role requires collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate pricing, while also developing strategies to win tenders and optimize logistics solutions. This position is being filled due to an internal team member transitioning to the operations department. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to take over these responsibilities and continue driving success in our national road logistics tender and pricing processes.

• Monthly controlling and monitoring of actuals versus targets, and initiates corrective actions in case of deviations and reporting weekly and monthly procurement results (e.g. hit ratio of quotations).
• Purchase or supports the acquisition of new FTL/LTL business and supports the account management via good purchasing capabilities.
• Promotes carrier relations and develops the existing carrier base via SMT database.
• Supports the FTL/LTL business development process (tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering)
• Monitors market trends and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide market and product related information regularly to the internal stakeholders.
• Optimizing Round Trip trucks, increase RT trucks and decrease the number of OW trucks, in order to make procurement saving.
• Execution of FTL/LTL carrier procurement strategy, including managing local carrier´s contacts and rates negotiations, seeking to improve pricing competitiveness and expand carrier pool, in alignment with national hauliers procurement guidelines .
• Ensures efficient transfer of agreed conditions and details about transport procurement to the operation team.
• Prepares contracts for the regular gained businesses and updates of the prices, validity and specific conditions of existing contracts in alignment with national hauliers procurement guidelines
• Takes role and be a part of the new technological and corporate projects which are in line with carriers.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in road logistics and 3 years of pricing / procurement experience for inbound/outbound FTL shipments.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and PC skills.
• Excellent analytical, communicational skills, attention to detail.
• Results orientated and fast acting / decision maker.
• Very good spoken and written English is a must.
