National Sales Leader, Ultrasound General Imaging, WHC & POC

The National Sales Leader, Ultrasound General Imaging, Women’s Health & Point of Care is responsible for leading commercial partnerships, optimizing sales strategies, managing complex product portfolios, expanding market reach, directing sales operations, ensuring efficient organizational structure, building client relationships, driving sales process improvements and overseeing talent management to achieve growth and operational goals. The role reviews and operationalizes the sales strategy, including forecasts and Annual Operating Plan (AOP), to drive growth and achieve targets. The role leads a complex product portfolio, improves sales with existing and new customers, and expands business opportunities. The role directs strategies for new lead generation, market reach, and customer base expansion.

Your role:

  • Building a high-performing team of Ultrasound District Sales leaders with a winning mindset/culture
  • Building strong customer relationships, particularly with Key Opinion Leaders in General Imaging (GI, i.e. Radiology), Women’s Healthcare (WHC), Point of Care (POC) and Key Decision Makers at Leading Customers
  • Developing the strategic plan to underpin both AOP and BU strategic growth plans for GI, WHC and POC in the region and driving strong enforcement and execution
  • Leading the key transformations required for Ultrasound GI, WHC and POC national sales, including Sales Excellence and Customer Experience Transformation (in partnership with our Sales Enablement & Excellence and Service teams)
  • Delivering growth and profitability in the region for GI, WHC and POC, and in particular, strong growth in market share, improvement in Integral Gross Margin/Integral Sales Margin, growth in Net Promoter Score and People Engagement Survey
  • Creates and implements the national sales and distribution strategy by developing and utilizing the mix of offline and online channels
  • Improve overall say/do ratio and selling performance (better consistency/predictability vs plan committed in the month, quarter and year)
  • Activating the entire District commercial organization in selling/positioning the respective portfolio of products, solutions & services towards customers
  • Develop clear and achievable strategies, objectives, and tactical plans based on segmentation, customer needs, and market conditions synchronized with the Business objectives
  • Collaborate with district sales leaders on deal strategy and customer escalations
  • Ensure appropriate cadences and reviews are in place to drive predictable, consistent performance across KPIs
  • Accountability & responsibility for funnel management and bottom-up forecasting
  • Drive performance across Account Managers, Specialists and Sales Leaders; ensure collaboration with Sales Excellence/Operations, Clinical Applications, Services and other key stakeholders
  • Actively builds a high-performing culture and team through regular recognition and strict performance management efforts
  • Leads, coaches, directs and motivates the team, while optimizing for speed & costs
  • Manages the pipeline of talent for the organization and build capabilities to be able to deliver on the NAR GI strategic plan and long-term objectives

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and outstanding people management/development skills
  • Proven experience in sales leadership, with a strong track record of coaching and developing other leaders to achieve high performance and drive business growth.
  • Solid understanding of the Diagnostic Imaging/ Ultrasound market in North America
  • 11+ years of experience in areas such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development, E-commerce, Marketing technology, Healthcare or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in strategic account management or corporate sales leadership within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of imaging modalities, clinical workflows, and healthcare economics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex sales cycles.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Sales position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 150% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $325,000 to $400,000 annually, plus company fleet/car. Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.

Target Earnings pay is only one component of the Philips Total Rewards compensation package, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. Details about our benefits can be found here .
