About the role: The person will be responsible for timely/correctly financial accounting and reporting of Telenor Pakistan & its subsidiaries in accordance with applicable standards, policies and processes along with ensuring quality and integrity of financials.

Your Typical Day will look like:

• Ensure all the transactional accounting is accurately and timely processed
• Drive the Company's month end financial close process to ensure timely completion along with accurate and complete results
• Maintenance & Supervision of General Ledger Activities in ERP environment
• Ensure Compliance to Group/Local Policies and IFRS
• Financial & accounting Advisory in complex accounting matters and new business streams in line with IFRS and Group policies
• Review and improve current processes to strengthen quality and efficiency of financial reporting
• Prepare reports and presentations on financial results
• Preparation of monthly and consolidated management accounts
• Financial analysis of monthly performance with prior periods.
• Monthly reviews of all balance sheet accounts for any discrepancies including identification of issues and follow-up with respective teams for timely closure.

What we're looking for:
Education: Masters/bachelor's in finance or ACCA/CA (completed/in-progress)
Work experience: 3+ years of relevant experience with minimum 1 year career break


Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: 

• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards e.g. IFRS etc.
• Strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications, especially MS excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills (Ability to interpret and analyze financial data)
• Ability to handle large volume and complex data
