Job Title: NDT Technician (Shipbuilding / Marine)Location: Shipyard / Marine FacilityDepartment: Quality Control / InspectionJob Summary:

The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician is responsible for performing inspection and testing of materials, welds, and structures in shipbuilding projects using non-destructive methods to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspections using methods such as:
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Visual Testing (VT)
  • Inspect weld joints, hull structures, pipelines, and critical components.
  • Interpret test results and identify defects or discontinuities.
  • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, class requirements, and international standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO).
  • Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers and production teams.
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and shipyard regulations.
  • Assist in audits and third-party inspections when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical / Welding / NDT or related field.
  • Certification in NDT methods (Level II or III preferred – UT, MT, PT, RT).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy fabrication industry.
  • Familiarity with shipyard standards and classification society rules (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
  • Good communication and reporting skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
