Position Overview
The Senior QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for leading and supervising all mechanical quality assurance and quality control activities across Oil & Gas projects in Ruwais. The role ensures full compliance with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, international codes, and company quality procedures. The candidate will oversee QC teams, manage inspections, coordinate with clients and third parties, and ensure the successful delivery of all QA/QC documentation and final dossiers.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in

, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience

Minimum
15 years of experience
in
Oil & Gas projects
, preferably within EPC environments.
Mandatory Training & Certifications

CSWIP 3.2

AWS-SCWI
, or ADNOC‑approved equivalent.

BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 2
or equivalent (minimum requirement).

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Roles & Responsibilities:
Quality Management & Supervision
-
Supervise and manage all QA/QC functions at site, overseeing QC Engineers, Inspectors, NDT Technicians, and support staff.
-
Identify project-specific QC requirements (resources, procedures, documentation) and coordinate with the Project QC Manager and QC Department for compliance.
-
Ensure adequate manpower, calibrated inspection tools, and proper QC resources are available at site.
Coordination & Interface
-
Interface with Operations, Clients, and Third‑Party Inspection Agencies for all QC-related matters.
-
Coordinate subcontractor inspection activities and monitor their QC performance.
Procedures, ITPs & Documentation
-
Prepare Quality Control Procedures, Method Statements, and
Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
as per project and client requirements.
-
Ensure inspectors follow the latest approved drawings, procedures, and document revisions.
-
Prepare and maintain the
Final Handover Dossier / Manufacturer’s Record Book
with full traceability.
Inspection & Technical Activities:
-
Conduct and supervise inspections related to welding, NDT, mechanical works, coating, and material verification.

Perform
RT film interpretation
and review NDT reports.
-
Coordinate with the Welding Engineer for
WPS/PQR preparation
, qualification, and lab testing.
-
Qualify welders, monitor their performance, and manage renewal schedules.
Audits & Compliance:
-
Act as a focal point for
ISO
and
ASME
internal and external audits.

Conduct internal audits and operational audits for coded jobs.

Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international QA/QC requirements.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions:
-
Raise
NCRs/Observation Reports
, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure timely close‑out.

Provide proactive solutions to technical issues, including design change approvals and technical queries.
Reporting & KPIs:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.

Ensure proper filing, traceability, and retrieval of QC documents.
Training & Team Development:

Provide training and induction to QC Engineers, Inspectors, Technicians, Clerks, and Document Controllers to enhance team performance.
