Job Summary
We are seeking two highly skilled and certified Manual UT Inspectors to join our dynamic team on a major project in Qatar. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing and evaluating standard ultrasonic tests on various materials and components to ensure they meet project specifications, international codes, and quality standards. A strong commitment to safety and procedural adherence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual ultrasonic (UT) inspections on welds, base materials, and components in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications.
- Set up and calibrate ultrasonic equipment for a variety of applications and material thicknesses.
- Interpret, evaluate, and accurately document test results, identifying any defects or discontinuities.
- Generate clear, concise, and detailed technical inspection reports for client review.
- Maintain all inspection equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and calibrated.
- Strictly adhere to all company and client safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other NDT technicians, welding inspectors, and project engineers.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO.
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or equivalent. A technical diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy or a related field is highly preferred.
- Total Experience Required: Total 5 years of experience. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manual ultrasonic testing post Level II certification.
- Experience Certification:
- Valid ISO 9712 Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is mandatory.
- Additional NDT Level II certifications (e.g., MT, PT) are a significant advantage.
- Certifications from ASNT (SNT-TC-1A) or PCN will also be considered if accompanied by extensive experience.
