Job Description: NetDevOps Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Development Engineer. As a DevOps Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our NetDevOps infrastructure and tools. You will work closely with Field Services Engineering, software development, and quality assurance teams to streamline and automate the software development and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain software infrastructure and tools to support Field Services Engineering and development of Network deployment processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.

Develop and maintain build and deployment pipelines, including source code management, build automation, and release management.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Docker, Ansible, etc .

Monitor and improve system performance, availability, and scalability by implementing monitoring and alerting systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build and deployment processes, infrastructure, and application performance.

Stay up to date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our development and deployment processes.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with scalability, reliability, and maintainability in mind.

Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to ensure smooth and efficient software development and deployment processes.

Document and communicate DevOps processes, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Strong experience in DevOps practices and methodologies, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.

Experience in Network Deployment projects, and Network Device configuration.

Knowledge of DWDM network Technologies.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Jinja, bash or PowerShell.

Experience with configuration management tools like Docker, Ansible, etc.

Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Familiarity with source code management tools like Git and build automation tools like Jenkins.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
