Network Administrator

Job Summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s core IT network infrastructure. This includes Cisco switches, firewalls, routing configurations, and Windows Server environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with basic network configurations, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operational support to ensure smooth and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Cisco network switches, including VLAN configuration, trunking, port security, and basic routing.
• Monitor, configure, and maintain firewall policies and security rules to ensure secure access and network protection.
• Perform routine network troubleshooting for connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, and basic server administration.
• Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of network devices and servers.
• Conduct regular network health checks, performance monitoring, and system updates.
• Support backup operations, disaster recovery procedures, and system documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors or service providers for network-related issues when required.
• Ensure network security best practices and follow company IT policies.
• Provide user support for network and server issues as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Cisco switches and routing (CCNA level preferred).
• Experience working with firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs).
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Experience in small to medium enterprise network environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: BD400.000 - BD500.000 per month
