Network and Security Implementation Engineer / Resident Engineer
Location: Philippines, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco (Remote – serving clients across Middle East & Europe; some roles may be dedicated onsite/resident with client)

Role Summary
As a Network and Security Implementation Engineer, you will deliver security and performance solutions for our clients using Cloudflare and complementary technologies. This role combines hands-on technical implementation, troubleshooting, documentation, and direct client engagement.

Depending on assignment, you may:

• Work remotely with multiple clients across the Middle East and Europe, delivering implementations, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Be dedicated as a Resident Engineer to a single enterprise client, acting as their embedded technical advisor and primary point of contact for day-to-day operational and escalation needs.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, configure, and deliver security and performance solutions such as DNS, WAF, CDN, Bot Management, Zero Trust, DDoS protection, and API security.
• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into actionable implementation plans.
• Manage onboarding and configuration activities: zone imports, DNSSEC setup, SSL/TLS configuration, caching strategies, firewall rules, and access policies.
• Troubleshoot deployment and operational issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Deliver workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions to client teams.
• Produce professional documentation including low-level designs, validation reports, and client summaries.
• Collaborate with delivery managers and the wider Brixio team to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.

Assignment Variant:

• As a Remote Implementation Engineer, you will balance multiple client engagements across industries.
• As a Resident Engineer, you will focus exclusively on one client, serving as their trusted in-house extension of Brixio and coordinating escalations with our wider team.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support managed services clients through configuration reviews, performance tuning, and alignment to best practices.
• Contribute to Brixio’s knowledge base by writing SOPs, playbooks, and technical guides.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and service expansion in client environments.
• Provide input into automation initiatives, especially around Cloudflare APIs and tooling.
• Help strengthen Brixio’s reputation as a trusted Cloudflare delivery partner.

Requirements:
Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of DNS, TLS/SSL, TCP/IP, routing, proxies, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with network and application security solutions (WAF, DDoS, Zero Trust, VPN, API security).
• Familiarity with edge security platforms such as Zscaler, Akamai, Imperva, or F5.
• Experience with Cloudflare products (DNS, CDN, WAF, Bot Management, Zero Trust, etc.) is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of performance optimization (caching strategies, compression, TLS optimization, latency reduction).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Terraform, APIs, Python) is a plus.

Professional Skills

• 5+ years of experience in implementation engineering, technical consulting, or project delivery.
• Proven customer-facing experience, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with technical and business stakeholders alike.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver to deadlines.
• Flexibility to thrive in either multi-client project delivery or long-term resident engineer engagements.
