Network Engineer

Ibix Global is a leading technology company dedicated to delivering innovative networking solutions. We are looking for a dedicated and proficient Network Engineer with a strong background in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks switching and routing. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient network solutions. This includes planning, configuring, and optimizing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of switching and routing protocols, including VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and STP. Implement best practices to ensure network stability and redundancy.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime. Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques and network monitoring tools to maintain optimal network performance.
• Implement security measures such as firewall rules, access control lists, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard the network infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
• Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals, including system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements in network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and administration.
• Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switching and routing.
• Proficiency in network protocols and technologies such as VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, and more.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) a plus.
