Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and server infrastructure. In addition, the candidate should have a basic understanding of .NET-based applications and be able to make minor backend edits or configurations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Manage and monitor Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
- Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring and resolve network-related issues efficiently.
- Oversee data backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Perform basic backend modifications in .NET (C#) applications — including configuration updates, API connections, or database linkages.
- Review and analyze system logs, event logs, and security alerts for proactive issue resolution.
- Provide technical support and documentation for internal users and systems.
- Ensure timely updates, patch management, and performance optimization across all network systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of proven experience as a Network or System Engineer.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, BGP/OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, MikroTik, or similar network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments (Ubuntu/CentOS).
- Basic understanding of .NET (C#) backend structure — ability to modify configurations and support minor code-level changes.
- Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL or MySQL) for basic query handling.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
Preferred Skills (a plus)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange administration.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
