The L2 Network Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure stability, efficiency, and availability across operations, maintenance (O&M), and managed services projects. The role focuses on monitoring network performance, resolving technical issues, and supporting infrastructure deployment while escalating complex issues to L3 support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain network infrastructure to ensure stability and high availability of services.
  • Monitor network performance and report anomalies to senior engineers.
  • Implement network configurations according to best practices and guidelines.
  • Ensure backup copies of network components are maintained.
  • Assist in network projects, including infrastructure deployment and integration.
  • Provide Level 2 technical support for network-related incidents.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to L3 engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
  • Follow defined change management procedures and support compliance initiatives.
  • Document network configurations, incidents, and maintenance activities.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).


Experience:

  • 2–4 years in network operations, troubleshooting, and support.


Skills:

  • Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network monitoring tools.
  • Basic troubleshooting of firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Understanding of network security principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to document network configurations and incidents.
