Network Engineer

We are seeking a Cisco Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, security, and wireless systems, to ensure reliable and secure network performance.

Key Responsibilities

● Configure and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers,

firewalls, and wireless access points.

● Implement and support network security policies using Cisco security devices , Manage

DNAC.

● Monitor network performance using tools like Cisco Prime, NetFlow, and SNMP, and

troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.

● Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for internal use and

compliance.

● Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure

with other systems.

● Provide on-call support for network-related incidents and ensure rapid resolution.

● Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry best practices, and

recommend improvements to the network infrastructure.

● Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco

IOS, NX-OS, ASA, etc.).

● Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP,

Layer 3 switching), and network security.

● Experience with Cisco security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention

systems (IPS), and identity services (ISE).

● Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds,

Nagios).

● Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco devices using CLI and Cisco

Configuration Professional.

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred certifications

● Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.

● Experience with wireless networking (Cisco Aironet, WLC, MSE).

● Good to have Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or

Python.

● Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network architectures will be advantageous

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
