What does a successful Network Operations Center Manager do at Fiserv?
As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager at Fiserv, you will lead a high-performing team of network engineers responsible for the real-time monitoring, incident response, and operational support of Fiserv’s hybrid network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud-integrated systems supporting both internal users and external clients. You will be accountable for ensuring service uptime, managing escalations, driving automation, and continuously improving operational processes. This role supports our mission by maintaining robust network operations, ensuring seamless connectivity, and enhancing overall service reliability.
What you will do:

Provide technical guidance
for complex networking issues, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers.

Monitor network infrastructure
in real-time, detect and resolve incidents promptly, and lead incident response efforts.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team
of NOC engineers to ensure continuous coverage and operational excellence.

Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders
to manage SLAs, ticket progress, and communicate during major incidents.

Drive automation and process improvement
initiatives to reduce manual effort and enhance operational maturity.
What you will need to have:

10+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Strong understanding of networking protocols: BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, Spanning Tree.

Hands-on experience with Cisco routers/switches, SD-WAN platforms, and enterprise-grade firewalls.

Proficiency in load balancing concepts and technologies (F5, Citrix).

Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or equivalent).

Scripting skills in Python; familiarity with automation frameworks and AI/ML tools for network operations.

Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Ability to lead under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
