Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Networks security technologies (NGFW, Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, Cortex) and strong multi-vendor experience across Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper firewalls.

Key Responsibilities

Firewall, Cloud & Secure Access Technologies

• Design, implement, and optimize firewall architectures using: Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, WildFire, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, DNS Security.
• Deploy and support Palo Alto Prisma Access (cloud-delivered security, ZTNA, SWG, CASB).
• Support Prisma Cloud for CNAPP, workload protection, container security, and cloud posture.
• Implement ADEM (Autonomous Digital Experience Management) for end-to-end performance visibility.

Infrastructure & Security Engineering

• Design secure network perimeters, segmentation, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Lead high-level troubleshooting, packet analysis, rule-base optimization, and security hardening.
• Configure advanced features: HA clusters, SSL decryption, IPS/IDS, NAT, App-ID, User-ID, content security.
• Execute firewall migrations, policy redesigns, and multi-site security rollouts.

Compliance, Documentation & Collaboration

• Ensure solutions comply with NCA ECC, SAMA, ISO 27001, and internal security standards.
• Prepare HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, and operational guides for client environments.
• Integrate security platforms with SIEM/SOAR solutions (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel).
• Work closely with SOC, network, cloud, and project teams across enterprise and government projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical enablement within 3M DATA.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and security engineering.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect (PCNSE highly preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet (FG/FAZ/FMGR), Cisco ASA/FTD, FMC, and Juniper SRX.
• Strong understanding of routing/switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VRF, and network segmentation.
• Experience designing and securing enterprise and hybrid cloud environments.
• Prepare detailed documentation including high-level, low-level, migration plans and as-built designs (proficiency in Microsoft Visio required).
• Deliver remote and on-site support during testing, pilot, and production deployment phases.
• Analyze client infrastructure requirements and develop tailored deployment procedures.
• Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer, with a focus on security implementation.
