Network Support Engineer (Omani candidates only)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Network Support Engineer to join a Ministry-based project on a contractual basis. The candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure smooth and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network systems, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
• Basic IT support and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with firewalls and network security practices
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
• Configure and support network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades
• Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies
• Support end-users with connectivity and network-related issues
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and incidents
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams when required
• Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Certifications such as CCNA/ CEH (preferred)

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT/ network support or similar role
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and troubleshooting
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12-18 months

Pay: Up to RO700.000 per month
