Job Summary

The News Coordinator will support the editorial and production teams by coordinating news coverage, managing content workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of news stories. This role serves as a central link between reporters, editors, producers, and digital teams to maintain efficient newsroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily news operations and content scheduling
• Liaise with reporters, editors, photographers, and production teams
• Track breaking news and assist in assigning coverage tasks
• Manage editorial calendars and ensure deadlines are met
• Review incoming content for completeness before editorial processing
• Assist in publishing content across digital and broadcast platforms
• Maintain accurate records of stories, sources, and media assets
• Monitor news trends and support content planning
• Coordinate live coverage logistics and newsroom communication
• Ensure adherence to editorial standards and company guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, or related field
• Previous experience in a newsroom, media coordination, or content operations role
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced news environment
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and content management systems

Preferred Skills

• Experience in broadcast, digital media, or news agencies
• Knowledge of newsroom workflows and editorial processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle breaking news situations efficiently
• Team collaboration and time management skills
