General Summary
The Next Gen, Creative Director is responsible for sharing the gospel through Worship and Production of Sunday Services and Church-wide events for the Next Gen Team. This position will also collaborate with the Student Pastor and Youth Pastor in creating and managing all aspects of the worship experience, creative development, engagement extensions, set design, guest artists, presentations during live and online church services, productions and performances for the Next Gen Team.
This position is also responsible for bringing the event to life through on-screen content/graphic, video, and live performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is an individual contributor and will not have direct reports.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Next Generation (Next Gen) Sunday programs, ensuring a welcoming, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for children and youth.

Recruit, train, and support worship volunteers and staff involved in Next Gen ministries.

Collaborate with church leadership to integrate Next Gen activities with overall church events and initiatives.

Ensure the safety and security of all participants through adherence to church policies and best practices.

Foster a sense of community and spiritual growth among Next Gen churchwide programming and Sunday Service attendees.
Project Management: Messaging, Collateral and Implementation for Next Gen and Churchwide Programming

Lead the project management of marketing messaging, collateral creation, and implementation, in conjunction with the Next Gen Director.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and manage marketing assets for Next Gen.

Ensure consistency and alignment of all marketing materials with the church's mission and branding.

Support the marketing team in planning and executing promotional events and activities for Next Gen.
Curating the Sunday Experience for Next Gen Spaces: (working with the Sunday Experience Leader, Next Gen Director)
- Design and curate the Sunday experience for Next Gen spaces in collaboration with the Next Gen team.

Be responsible for talent management (i.e. Praise Teams, Musicians, Guest Artist, etc.)

Ensure that all elements of the Next Gen Sunday experience are engaging, age-appropriate, and spiritually enriching.

Coordinate with team members to implement a cohesive and impactful experience that aligns with the overall vision and goals of the church.

Oversee the setup and maintenance of Next Gen spaces to create a welcoming and safe environment.

Gather feedback from participants and team members to continually improve the Sunday experience.

Support all aspects of technical and artistic production. Manage all show developments from inception to final wrap-up of the project.

Create a master production schedule and rehearsal schedule in conjunction with the project owner, and work with producers/project managers to develop budgets and timelines.

Serve as a liaison between external production agencies, internal content team, and internal stakeholders.

Ensure everyone has a clear job description and can do their job effectively. Attend all production meetings and rehearsals, and provide support wherever needed.

Attend and successfully complete all training required by Concord Church.

Perform all other duties assigned.

Lead worship for Student Ministry.

Recruit and train Student Praise Team in creating an in-kind worship experience for the Student Ministry.

Provide oversight to Next Gen Auxiliary Teams (i.e. Kids Choir, Jubilee).

Lead worship for The Table.

Schedule artists, singers, and run rehearsals.

Content Creator for Student and Kids Ministry

Build out volunteer teams to assist with creating content for the Student and Kids Ministry.

Provide vocal support for funerals, as needed.

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of a BS/BA Worship/Music, Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Production, Film, Television, Journalism, or a related field

3-5 years’ experience in creative team leadership

Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity

Ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues

Exhibits familiarity with industry standards

Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite

Physical Requirements
An employee in this position primarily works in a typical office environment to fulfill the position duties. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex church leadership situations is required.
Travel Requirements
A valid Texas drivers’ license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
