Social Media & Content Creator (XL Division)

Location: In-person, M–F (~5 hours per day, Flexible)
Pay: $20/hour
Growth Opportunity: After 1 year you could transfer to a full-time role with health benefits + PTO

Detour Sunglasses is looking for someone to take over and grow the social media presence for our XL line. This role is perfect for someone who’s creative, confident in front of the camera, and excited to build a brand through engaging street-style content.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and manage the XL social media accounts
• Film street-style content (you must be comfortable on camera)
• Approach and talk to strangers for content creation
• Come up with engaging content ideas
• Schedule and manage social posts
• Coordinate and manage brand collaborations
• Write blog posts and assist with marketing content
• Help grow the XL side of the business in creative ways
• Spotting viral trends
• Monitoring engagement and analyzing performance metrics
• Wear multiple hats — all focused on building the XL brand

What We’re Looking For

• Comfortable being on camera
• Comfortable talking to strangers
• Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Organized and self-motivated
• Video editing (not required, but must be open to learning)
• Strong communication skills
• Creative mindset

Bonus (Not Required)

• Fishing experience or interest (so you can help capture fishing-related content)

This is a hands-on, creative role with real growth potential. If things go well, the position can transition into a full-time role with health benefits and PTO after one year.
