NJV Hostel Warden

Job Summary:

We are looking for dedicated and responsible Male and Female Hostel Wardens to manage our school hostels on a 24/7 residential basis. The ideal candidates will ensure the hostel operates smoothly while maintaining safety, discipline, and a supportive atmosphere for students residing on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all hostel activities, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Maintain discipline, order, and safety among students in the hostel premises.
• Oversee student attendance, movements, and adherence to hostel rules.
• Ensure students maintain personal hygiene, punctuality, and cleanliness of rooms and common areas.
• Act as a guardian figure — offering emotional support and guidance to students when needed.
• Monitor hostel facilities (electricity, water, security, etc.) and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain records of students, visitors, and hostel inventory.
• Coordinate with the school administration, security, and health staff for student welfare.
• Organize and monitor daily routines — wake-up, study hours, meals, lights out, etc.
• Handle emergencies and ensure quick response in case of illness, accidents, or disciplinary issues.
• Foster a homely, respectful, and nurturing environment aligned with the school’s values.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Psychology, or Social Sciences background is a plus).
• Prior experience as a hostel warden, house parent, or residential supervisor is highly desirable.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and discipline.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially with school-age students.
• Ability to handle students with patience, empathy, and fairness.
• Should be available 24/7 on campus (accommodation and meals will be provided).
