NOC Engineer

The NOC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving network and system issues in real time. The role involves ensuring 24/7 availability of infrastructure/services, responding to alerts, and escalating unresolved issues.

Responsibilities:

Network Monitoring and Alert Management

• Continuously monitor network systems and applications for anomalies
• Respond to alerts and troubleshoot incidents to ensure service availability
• Escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams or vendors

Preventive Maintenance and Optimization

• Identify potential issues through trend analysis and recommend preventive measures
• Perform routine checks on network systems to ensure smooth operations
• Suggest enhancements to improve NOC efficiency

Incident Reporting and Documentation

• Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system
• Provide detailed incident reports to the Network Manager
• Ensure accurate escalation documentation for unresolved issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent
• Good knowledge in monitoring network performance and responding to alerts using monitoring solutions (e.g., Solarwinds, PRTG)
• Knowledge of incident response and escalation procedures
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools for troubleshooting network anomalies
