Healthcare Medical Waste Services has been providing medical waste disposal services to Colorado for over 13 years. We serve hospitals, clinics, laboratories, blood banks, dentists, funeral homes, and other facilities looking for a safe and compliant way to dispose of medical waste. Our operations cover most of Colorado with locations in Colorado Springs and Denver.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Route Driver located in Colorado Springs, CO with some time spent in our processing facility. The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and transportation of waste from various customers to our processing facility. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all interactions.

Duties

• Drive assigned vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to deliver products and collect waste at designated locations.
• Follow predetermined routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients every service.
• Operate forklifts as needed for loading/unloading in warehouse settings.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• In our processing facility you will operate equipment to process and consolidate waste, help maintain inventory of required supplies including cleaning and sanitizing containers.

Skills

• Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and forklift operation is beneficial.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.

Requirements:

• Clean MVR
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to pass background check
• Available to work between 6am and 5pm Monday thru Friday
• Ability to drive and work in  ALL weather conditions
• Ability to stay out of town overnight 2-4 days per month
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. consistently throughout the day
