The Risk Management Department assists the facility in identifying systemic and individual areas of improvement to promote safe, functional, effective, respectful, and therapeutic environment for our clients and staff. Reviewers review video, interview employees and clients, and write reports to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

What you’ll do:

  • Conducting reviews and inquiries of alleged violations of policy or Department Operating Procedures
  • Gathering, assembling, and preserving facts, statements, and other evidence for use in legal, criminal, or administrative actions
  • Reviewing and retaining video of all episodes of seclusion/restraint, physical altercations, & graphic threats, injuries as requested, and other videos
  • Meeting regularly with treatment programs to review video incidents
  • Participating in the Situation Management and Response Techniques (SMART) Committee to provide information about trends and data from watching video of the application of SMART techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to the programs administered by the assigned agency
  • Ability to analyze, prepare, and/or present investigative evidence and other data
  • Ability to prepare clear and detailed reports of investigative findings
  • May require relevant certification/licensure. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills
  • Working Knowledge of Facility Policy and Department Operating Procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to embrace the hospital’s mission, vision, and values
