Job Description Summary:
We are hiring for a pharmacy team member who may work in non-sterile compounding, customer service, prescription intake, phone support, data entry, payment processing, or a combination of these areas depending on experience, licensing, training, and business needs. Experience preferred but not required.

Full time opening, [M-F 9-5:30pm ]

We are located in the Lakewood/Golden area and are looking for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician.

We will provide on-the-job training for software and procedures.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Tech Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Accurately enter, process, and prepare prescription information under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to help ensure medications are prepared accurately and at the correct dose.
• Compound non-sterile medications, which may include capsules, creams, gels, troches, suppositories, suspensions, and other dosage forms.
• Prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, following formulas, procedures, master formulation records, safety procedures, and pharmacy policies.
• Perform weighing, measuring, mixing, packaging, labeling, and documentation accurately.
• Work quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Understand and use basic drug terminology.
• Provide high-level customer service, including answering phones, assisting patients, communicating with prescribers/vendors, prescription pickup support, data entry, and payment processing.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, prescribers, vendors, coworkers, managers, and pharmacists.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
• Follow appropriate safety, quality assurance, confidentiality, HIPAA, state/federal pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Complete all assigned training and demonstrate competency before independently performing assigned tasks.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the manager, pharmacist, or Pharmacist in Charge.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a non-sterile compounding pharmacy setting.
• Duties may include exposure to medications, powders, creams, cleaning agents, and compounding equipment.
• Employee must follow all safety procedures, garbing requirements, cleaning procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Role may require extended periods of standing, repetitive hand movements, and focused task completion.
• Employee must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with interruptions, phones, patient needs, and production deadlines.

Basic Education and Licensing Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician registration/license required.
• PHAT preferred.
• PHATP may be considered if the provisional license is in good standing and has sufficient time remaining before expiration.
• Candidate must maintain required licensure in good standing as a condition of employment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to assist with stocking medications, supplies, and inventory.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, and carry items as needed during daily pharmacy operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to safely move boxes, totes, and supply containers using proper body mechanics.
• Ability to reach overhead and below waist level when stocking shelves, organizing inventory, or retrieving supplies.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scanning, labeling, filing, typing, and handling prescription or front-end inventory items.

Pay
$19.00–$26.00 per hour depending on experience, licensure, compounding ability, customer service responsibilities, leadership responsibilities, and demonstrated competency.
