About the Role:

The Non Union Lead Janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within consumer support service facilities. This position is responsible for overseeing janitorial operations, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The Lead Janitor will coordinate and support a team of janitorial staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to uphold quality and safety protocols. This role requires proactive problem-solving to address maintenance issues and optimize cleaning schedules, contributing to the overall customer experience. Ultimately, the Lead Janitor ensures that all areas are hygienic and presentable, supporting the organization's commitment to excellent consumer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in janitorial or custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and understand safety guidelines and follow instructions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in janitorial or facility maintenance management.
  • Experience working in consumer support service environments or similar customer-facing industries.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software or inventory management systems.
  • First aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily janitorial activities to ensure thorough cleaning of all assigned areas.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate janitorial staff to maintain high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify cleaning needs, maintenance issues, and safety hazards, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Collaborate with facility management to develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols that meet organizational standards.
