NPD Engineer

New Product Development

• Handle new product development activities from RFQ to SOP (Start of Production).
• Study customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Prepare feasibility studies, process flow charts, and timelines.

Design & Engineering

• Coordinate with design team for product and process design.
• Prepare and review DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP documents.
• Ensure design validation as per customer and internal standards.

Process & Tooling Development

• Develop manufacturing processes for press shop, fabrication, welding, machining, or assembly.
• Coordinate with tool room and vendors for die, fixture, and tool development.
• Conduct tool trials and process validation.

Costing & Vendor Coordination

• Prepare product costing and support RFQ submissions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for development of bought-out parts.
• Support supplier APQP and PPAP activities.

Trial & Production Support

• Conduct prototype builds and pilot runs.
• Analyze trial issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support smooth transition from development to mass production.

Quality & Customer Interaction

• Ensure compliance with quality systems such as ISO / IATF 16949.
• Attend customer meetings, audits, and technical discussions.
• Handle customer feedback and engineering changes.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain NPD trackers, timelines, and project status reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and change management (ECN/ECR).

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 2–8 years in NPD / Product Development (automotive or manufacturing preferred)

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹44,537.04 per month
