Join Ericsson as a Solution Architect (RAN / 4G–5G) and become part of a highly multicultural and distributed team of 23 professionals (including the manager) across 10 countries: Hungary, Armenia, Turkey, Slovenia, Austria, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, and Serbia.

In this role, you will play a critical part in the creation and verification of RAN solutions and in managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, with a clear focus on improving quality, delivery speed, and cost efficiency, while supporting business growth and sales success.

You will work at the intersection of architecture, system integration, verification, and stakeholder coordination, contributing directly to live customer deployments and next-generation 4G/5G and O-RAN solutions.

What you will do

• Design and own end-to-end 4G/5G RAN solution architectures (CU/DU/RU), translating customer requirements into robust and scalable technical designs.

• Lead creation and verification activities, including solution definition, design mapping, test strategies, and acceptance criteria.

• Support and coordinate NPI projects, ensuring smooth introduction of new solutions from lab to field.

• Analyze customer technical and business environments, including KPI/SLA requirements, risks, and trade-offs.

• Define and validate transport and timing architectures (fronthaul, midhaul, backhaul, PTP, SyncE).

• Drive systems integration across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, and third-party components, including multi-vendor environments.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Operations to ensure solutions are commercially viable and operationally ready.

• Contribute to value arguments and TCO considerations, balancing performance, cost, and scalability.

• Present solution designs, PoCs, and validation outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.

• Support pilots and early deployments, ensuring readiness for scale and smooth handover to operations.

The skills you bring

• Deep expertise in 4G/5G RAN, including CU/DU/RU and protocol stack understanding.

• Strong end-to-end solution architecture skills with proven trade-off decision-making.

• Solid knowledge of transport and timing (fronthaul/midhaul/backhaul, PTP, SyncE).

• Experience with KPI/SLA definition, solution design mapping, and test/acceptance planning.

• Hands-on experience in systems integration (RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, third-party systems).

• General understanding of O-RAN and open interfaces.

• Awareness of RAN security and compliance requirements.

• Strong project and stakeholder coordination skills in cross-functional, multi-country environments.

• Basic understanding of TCO and cost drivers in RAN solutions.

• Automation and scripting experience (e.g. Python, Ansible, Terraform, Moshell).

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts applied to network design, optimization, or assurance.

Additional requirements

• Fluent Turkish and English, both written and spoken

• Based in Istanbul, with the ability to work closely with local and international stakeholders
