Position Summary

The NTT Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment for children in the pre-primary section. The teacher will implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities aligned with the school’s early childhood curriculum and CBSE's NCF 2022 foundational learning principles. The role focuses on holistic development—cognitive, language, numeracy, social, emotional, and physical skills.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons using play-based, activity-based pedagogy.
  • Conduct daily routines such as circle time, story sessions, rhymes, art and craft, free play, and structured learning.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly lesson plans in alignment with curriculum guidelines.
  • Use teaching-learning materials (TLM) effectively to support hands-on learning.
  • Support children with early literacy and numeracy (phonics, pre-writing skills, counting, sorting, etc.).

2. Child Development & Care

  • Observe each child’s developmental progress and maintain individual records.
  • Provide emotional support and build confidence in young learners.
  • Encourage social skills like sharing, cooperation, waiting turns, and self-help habits.
  • Assist children in personal hygiene routines (handwashing, snack time, restroom support if needed).

3. Classroom Management

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly classroom environment.
  • Ensure classroom displays, learning corners, and materials are well-organized.
  • Manage children’s behaviour positively using age-appropriate strategies.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.

4. Assessment & Documentation

  • Conduct continuous and comprehensive assessment through observations, checklists, and portfolios.
  • Document learning outcomes, behaviour notes, and developmental milestones.
  • Prepare progress reports and assist in parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).

5. Parent Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding children’s progress, behaviour, and classroom activities.
  • Conduct parent orientation, PTMs, and share monthly newsletters or updates.
  • Address parent concerns professionally and positively.

6. Events & Activities

  • Plan and participate in school events such as Annual Day, Sports Day, Festivals, Theme Days, and field trips.
  • Coordinate celebrations and class-based activities to support learning themes.
  • Assist in decorating the classroom and school for special events.

7. Required QualificationsEducational Qualifications

  • Minimum 12th Pass (Higher Secondary).
  • Graduate (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) preferred.

8. Professional Qualifications

  • NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) – mandatory.

OR

  • ECCEd / Montessori / PPTTC (recognized training certification).

9. Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Phonics certification (Jolly Phonics/Montessori).
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • First Aid/CPR training.

10. Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in pre-primary preferred.
  • Freshers with strong training and good communication skills can also apply.

11. Salary

  • ₹15,000 per month for freshers
  • Higher salary may be offered for experienced candidates

  • Creativity in teaching (art, craft, rhymes, storytelling).

  • Pre-primary classrooms and outdoor play areas.
  • Requires physical activity like bending, lifting small children, and conducting play activities.
  • Interaction with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis.
