Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care & support to elder residents, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, wound care, and general clinical assessments.
- Respond to emergencies, critical events or changes in patient condition and coordinate with doctors and healthcare team.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, charts, and reports.
- Supervise or mentor junior healthcare staff or caregivers.
- Uphold infection control, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Occasionally participate in rehabilitation sessions or assist in mobility, physiotherapy or other allied care as needed.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- Registered Nurse (GNM / B.Sc Nursing) with valid license.
- Preferably 5–10 years of nursing experience, especially in critical care, geriatrics, or eldercare settings. (Based on a recent Akshayvat Nursing Specialist listing) Shine
- Good clinical judgment, decision-making ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient‑oriented and ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with elderly care challenges (like dementia, mobility issues, comorbidities).
- Ability to supervise and train junior staff (optional / preferred).
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience in intensive care units (ICU) or critical care.
- Certification in Geriatric Nursing or related specialization.
- Exposure to rehabilitation / physiotherapy.
- Knowledge of elder care ethics and patient rights
