Nurse Manager

  • Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care to all admitted patients
  • Monitor patient acuity and allocate nursing staff accordingly
  • Ensure timely clinical escalation of deteriorating patients
  • Conduct daily ward rounds with duty doctors / consultants
  • Supervise medication administration and adherence to clinical protocols
  • Ensure patient and attendant education at admission and discharge
  • Prepare and manage duty rosters and shift allocations
  • Ensure optimal nurse-patient ratio
  • Manage leave planning and emergency replacements
  • Mentor junior nurses and evaluate performance
  • Ensure competency mapping and skill mix in the ward
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Liaise with Patient Services, Billing, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, and Housekeeping
  • Ensure availability of ward equipment, consumables, and emergency drugs
  • Escalate infrastructure or biomedical issues promptly
  • Ensure completeness of nursing records, care plans, and checklists
  • Monitor consent forms, medication charts, intake-output charts, and nursing notes
  • Participate in internal audits and NABH assessments
  • Close audit non-conformities related to nursing
  • Enforce hand hygiene, PPE use, biomedical waste segregation
  • Monitor HAI indicators and report incidents
  • Conduct safety rounds and mock drills
  • Ensure adherence to fall prevention, pressure injury prevention, and ID protocols
  • Address patient and attendant grievances at ward level
  • Support service recovery initiatives
  • Coordinate feedback collection and PREM / PROM processes
  • Maintain ward discipline, etiquette, and environment
  • Track ward KPIs (falls, medication errors, complaints, infection rates)
  • Conduct ward-level training sessions
  • Participate in quality improvement projects
  • Submit daily census and ward reports
  • Maintain ward inventory
  • Support credentialing of ward nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies
  • Assist Nursing Head during inspections and statutory visits

Qualifications

Education: GNM / BSc Nursing with KNC

Experience: Overall 10 years as Nurse in Hospital and a minimum of 1 year as a Nurse Incharge is mandatory.
