Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality urgent care services to patients of all ages with a variety of acute and non-emergent conditions. This role offers flexibility with shift scheduling within our operating hours of 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, etc.)
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with California scope of practice
• Perform minor procedures including wound care, suturing, splinting, abscess I&D
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license (FNP, ANP, or AGNP)
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency, or primary care preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience
• Experience with procedural skills (suturing, splinting, I&D, etc.)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $60.00 - $95.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 24 per week
