Job Overview
We're on the hunt for a top-notch Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional care to patients in a Substance Abuse Treatment setting, tackling a range of medical needs and teaming up with the Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of care. This position calls for a deep understanding of substance abuse protocols, stellar clinical skills, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Educate patients on health management, preventive care, and follow-up procedures.
• Stay informed about current practices in urgent care, including workers compensation law and working with people in substance abuse recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification with a valid Virginia state license to practice.
• Experience in urgent care, substance abuse treatment or mental health preferred; familiarity with inpatient settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and standards related to Substance abuse practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in the subtance abuse treatment industry.
