Position Summary:
The Lead Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education aligned with the HEI Schools curriculum, inspired by the Finnish early education approach. The role involves leading a classroom, ensuring children’s holistic development, supporting co-teachers, and maintaining strong communication with parents and the academic team.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement the HEI Schools curriculum, adapting lesson plans to meet individual children’s needs.

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Lead and mentor co-teachers and assistant teachers, ensuring proper classroom management and instructional quality.

Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and developmental progress, sharing updates with parents regularly.

Organize and lead classroom events, parent meetings, and developmental discussions.

Ensure health and safety standards are met, including classroom hygiene and child supervision at all times.

Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve educational programs and teaching strategies.

Participate in staff training, development workshops, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s Degree is a plus).

Minimum of
2 years
of teaching experience in early childhood education, with leadership experience preferred.

Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and early years learning frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for early childhood education and alignment with HEI Schools’ values and teaching philosophy.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
