Position Summary:
The Nursery Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. The role involves implementing age-appropriate learning activities, maintaining classroom discipline, and ensuring the holistic development of each child in alignment with the nursery’s educational philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons and activities that support early childhood learning objectives.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and caring classroom atmosphere.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and provide regular feedback to parents and supervisors.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child through creative play and structured learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the management team to maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and ensure learning areas are clean, safe, and conducive to child development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursery or early childhood learning environment.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to a multicultural environment.
