Nursery Teacher (Russian Speaker)

This role requires strong communication skills in both Russian and English, along with proven experience in a UAE nursery or Early Years setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons following the Early Years curriculum (EYFS or equivalent).
• Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through structured and play-based learning activities.
• Maintain ongoing observations and assessments, ensuring accurate documentation of each child’s progress.
• Differentiate teaching to meet individual needs, including children with additional learning requirements.
• Create a positive and nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and creativity.

Childcare & Safety

• Ensure the classroom is clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Assist children with feeding, toileting, and personal care when required.
• Conduct daily safety checks of learning materials, classroom furniture, and play equipment.

Communication & Parent Partnership

• Build strong, supportive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s development and daily routines.
• Communicate confidently in both Russian and English, facilitating clear and effective interactions with families and staff.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, events, and open days.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent communication and a cohesive learning environment.

Teamwork & Professional Development

• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other educators to deliver high-quality Early Years education.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and internal training workshops.
• Contribute ideas for improving planning, curriculum delivery, and classroom organisation.

Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education.
• CACHE Level 3 or equivalent Early Years qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a UAE nursery or Early Years setting.
• Fluent in Russian with strong English communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of EYFS or a similar Early Years curriculum.

Desirable:

• First Aid and Safeguarding certification.
• Experience in multicultural and international environments.
• Knowledge of additional Early Years frameworks (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, etc.).
